IDENTITY THIEF

CAUGHT!

(Red is for "red-handed" - smile... Don't know what all of this is about? Check out the links at the bottom of this web page)

Around 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008, I received a call from Officer Caesar of the Sugar Land Police Department. He informed me that Fluor Daniel security had identified, examined, and confiscated a computer that had been used to send several, if not all, of the identity theft and fraud against me. That computer was taken from... RIDDHI DESAI'S DAUGHTER (and Fluor employee).

I've got a lot of work to do - I need to hire a legal malpractice attorney, I want to write an open letter to the JAIN Society, and I have letters to send to immigration authorities, the FTC (they are investigating the various identity thefts), the FBI (they are investigating the fraud against my MG Midget - the fraud involved interstate and international mails), and the bar association. Therefore, I will leave you to contemplate what this means and assess all of the information contained in these pages in light of the new events. I will be updating this page as soon as I've finished those other tasks and get some documents scanned.

However, before I go, I'd like to comment about the circumstances in which I learned about Riddhi Desai's daughter's involvement. I don't think I've met any professional on any level with less class than Riddhi Desai. My opinion stems not just from her sleazy tactics during the child custody hearing (aiding and abetting a kidnapping and perjury, among other things) or her bottom-of-the-barrel manipulations of the immigration system (as an "anchor baby" herself, what kind of ingrate disrespects the laws of her new host country?). It doesn't help that she's so uncouth she resorts to identity theft, fraud, and petty harassments of me and my daughter after she loses the custody case. Hiding behind her daughter is a brand of cowardice and irresponsibility to her obligations as a parent I certainly didn't expect from a presumed professional. That she is a complete hypocrite living at polar opposite to the peaceful beliefs of the JAIN Society makes me sick to my stomach. Of course I am angry that she is so damn stupid to not realize that in attacking me she is completely missing her target and hitting my defenseless nineteen-month-old daughter instead right in my baby's future and quality of life. But all that is secondary to the cretinism of her base behaviors - fundamental dishonesty, sneaking around in the dark, getting other people to do her dirty work for her. The means by which I learned of her daughter's criminality is a perfect example. You'd think from all the fine examples of how NOT to handle problems in the news (Richard Nixon, Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds), that once someone who some intellect was caught red-handed, they'd be gracious enough to 'fess up, take their punishment, and get on with their lives. At any point in time, Riddhi Desai could have stopped all of this - the criminal and civil prosecution she must now face, the involvement of her family and mine, the unethical conduct, these web pages - by apologizing and admitting her deficiencies, compensating and otherwise righting the wrongs she had committed to that point, and resolving in some enforceable form not to do these things again.

But that level of brainpower and self-awareness is an order of magnitude beyond anything Riddhi Desai is capable of. Here's what she did instead - once her daughter had been caught, she wanted to put a spin on things during the weekend before I found out the following Monday. She called Officer Caesar not for the purpose of informing me of the events, but to intimidate me for writing the original letter to Fluor (as though there were something wrong with that). Of course, getting a phone call on a weekend from a police officer is in and of itself intimidating, but Officer Caesar was not rude or threatening in any way. While communicating to me what Riddhi Desai had requested of him, he was quite clear that I had done nothing wrong and that he was simply trying to see if this was something he could resolve. He was not aware of all of the circumstances of this case, and when I made him more aware, he expressed an understanding for my position. He had been unaware that I had copied the Fluor letter to the Sugar Land Police, and that I had already spoken with two officers regarding that letter and the prior fraud case. He was also unaware I had formally filed identity theft charges with the FTC and fraud charges with the FBI. When he hung up the phone, I was left with the definite impression he had not called in an official capacity (he had no background information, and had talked to no one at all except Riddhi Desai). His demeanor suggested to me he had been stuck with the distasteful task of running interference for Riddhi Desai, and he was simply doing what he was tasked to do. In any case, he was helpful, polite, and informative.

On Sunday at about the same time in the afternoon, I received another call from Officer Caesar. He had received an e-mail from Riddhi Desai berating him for telling me about her daughter's involvement in the identity theft! Obviously, when you file a complaint with a police department anywhere, and the criminal is caught, the complainant is informed of the name and other particulars of the criminal. Riddhi Desai actually wanted Officer Caesar in the original phone call to withhold information from me, and to intimidate me into not asking more questions. To his credit, he did not do that. I had withheld his name from the e-mail I had sent out announcing the identity thief's capture, but apparently the nature of Officer Caesar's conversation or relationship with Riddhi Desai gave it away to her that he had not done her bidding.

Treating public servants as though they were her own personal messenger boys - just another example of how underhanded and corrupt Riddhi Desai can be... Watch this space for updates!
